Night Falls
Night Falls is home to the largest waterfall in the entire Lost Cities. Over fifty gallons of water falls into the lake below. The mist creates a watery veil that only adds the effect of the shining stars above.

Aya and Fawn
Fawn Clarkson: Fawn wandered towards the river, thinking about her dad. Elwin had said that it might be best for her to take a break and clear her head. She had argued with him for a bit, but he eventually won the argument. She sighed and sat down by the river.
Aya Edain
✈︎ The Short Princess ✧ The Quiet Nerd Aya walked calmly to the lake, noticing another girl there with a pained expression on her face. Should she go over and see what's wrong? Or should she just stay here and mind her own buissness?
Fawn Clarkson: Elwin and the other physicians head predicted that he only had three weeks left. After that, who knew what would happen to her. She'd probably end up in the orphanage.
Aya Edain
✈︎ The Short Princess ✧ The Quiet Nerd She finally made up her mind. She approached the girl slowly. "What's wrong?" She asked in that sweet, quiet voice of hers. "You look upset."
Fawn Clarkson: "I've just got a lot on my mind." Fawn said. "My dad's fighting some sort of human sickness and Elwin and the doctors said he only has a few weeks before he's going to pass." Fawn started messing with the pocket she'd had since she was 9.
Aya Edain
✈︎ The Short Princess ✧ The Quiet Nerd She sat down next to the girl. "Do you want to talk about it?" She asked, hoping she'd said the right thing.
Fawn Clarkson: "I don't really know. It's a long story. And a sad one. " Fawn said.
Aya Edain
✈︎ The Short Princess ✧ The Quiet Nerd "Well, you can always talk to me if you need to." She said softly.
Fawn Clarkson: Fawn decided it was best of she got it off her mind, so she started telling the story. "It all started when I went to meet my uncle... "Come along Fawn!" My mother called. I bounced down the stairs. " ready mom! " I said. My mother have a nervous smile as she held her pathfinder up to the light. We arrived at the biggest house I had ever seen. A man stepped outside and gave me a wicked grin. That's when I knew he was up to something. He invited us in and asked to speak to me alone. Mother told me to go, telling me everything would be all right. I went along and watched his every move. He asked me a few questions and then before I knew it, I was on the ground, unconscious. When I woke up, I had a long scar on my left arm. " That's only the beginning. " I told her.
Aya Edain
✈︎ The Short Princess ✧ The Quiet Nerd She gasped. "That- that's horrible!"
Fawn Clarkson: I nodded, staring at the ground. "Mom said I was in a coma for 2 weeks. And that my uncle wasn't letting anyone see me. "
Aya Edain
✈︎ The Short Princess ✧ The Quiet Nerd "How old were you?" she asked, looking up.

✈︎ The Short Princess ✧ The Quiet Nerd She shrugged, ignoring the tear that had just rolled down her cheek. "It hurt at the time, but now I think I'm pretty okay with the fact that she's gone. I mean, I still miss her everyday, but it's... easier, I guess." She sighed.

Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He saw someone else only a few feet away from him. He smiled and turned to her. She was pretty. "Hey there, I'm Austin." He extended his hand for her to shake.
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird Valeria turned to look at the boy. He's name seemed familiar, and he also looked familiar too, for some reason, but she didn't say anything. She just smiled back and shook his hand. "Valeria, nice to meet you."
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He smiled. "So, you like it here to?"
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird She nodded. "Yeah, it's really peaceful and a god place to get inspired."
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He nodded. "Yeah, I get inspiration for song lyrics here, mostly."
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird Her eyebrows shot up. "You write songs too?" He seemed so familiar, but she just couldn't place her finger on it.
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic "Yeah," he said. "Oh, that's cool that you do too!" He studied her for a moment. "Have you ever heard of me? I'm kind of a singing celebrity."
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird The pieces finally clicked and he took an unintentional step back. "You're Austin Di Angelo, aren't you?"
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He nodded. "Yep," he looked at her. "Is that a problem, Valeria?"
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird She just rolled her eyes, an annoyed expression on her face. "Use your brain. Does it looks like one?"
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic "I'm guessing you don't like me very much?" he asked. He had people like her before, but not many.
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird "Glad to know you aren't completely dumb," she mumbled under her breath before studying him. "You know, I used to one of your biggest fans."
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic At least she had some taste. "Well, why aren't you still? Did I do something you didn't like?"
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird She shrugged. "No, I guess people just change a lot more than they realize." Her voice had a bitter undertone.
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He looked at her, his eyes narrowing. "And how exactly did I change?"
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird "Did I say that you were the one that changed?" she retorted with a raised eyebrow, glaring.
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He glared, but made sure not to get too angry. He didn't want to get out of control. "Look, I don't want any trouble. Just tell me why you don't like me."
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird "I don't need to explain my reasons to you. I don't like you, and that's that," she concluded, crossing her arms.
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He shrugged. "Alright," he said. "If you can sing, you'd be welcome in my concert, you know."
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird Valeria was tempted. Very tempted. But instead of saying that, she just shook her head, ignoring the pangs of hurt. "I've got better things to do."
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic "If you can play an instrument you could be on there, too," he said. "Or if you're good at writing songs...I could sing one of your songs."
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird Valeria's eyes lit up for just one second at the thought of letting her songs be heard by the world. "Really? My songs?"
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic "Yeah, of course," he said. "I still need some more songs, and I'm sure you've got talent."
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird Valeria came to her senses and hugged her notebook closer to her chest. "Never mind, I rather not."
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He took a step closer to her. She really was pretty. "Oh, come on, please? I don't want to force you to do anything, but I could use someone like you in the concert. It's hard to find people as amazing as you."
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird Valeria had to admit, he was actually quite handsome. But also had a way with words. "You really know how to use your words, don't you?"
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He smiled. "I guess I do," he said, getting a little closer to her. "You know something else you have to do as a singer?"
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird Valeria just now realized how close they were. "Really? Do tell."
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic "Improvise," Austin said, leaning in closer to her.
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird "Improvise about what?" she asked, tilting her head up a bit, not moving away. God, what the heck was this guy playing at?
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic "Improvising is doing something not planned, generally," he said. "You have to do it a lot on stage, but not only on stage. For other things, too." With that, he pressed his lips against hers.
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird Well, that was unexpected. But she found herself kissing him back. When they broke apart, she looked at him, her head tilted to the side. "that was a lot better than I thought it would be."
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He grinned. "I'm glad you think so. I thought so, too."
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird "I don't know why, but for some reason, I want to do that again," she told him with a weird feeling in her chest that she liked.
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He smiled and leaned in again, kissing her, longer this time. He had a warm fuzzy feeling in his chest...he never had really kissed anyone before.
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird Valeria smiled when they pulled away again. Her heart was beating ten times faster than normal. "I've never actually kissed someone, before," she blurted out unexpectedly after some silence.
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic "Yeah, me too," he admitted. You might think that a celebrity would have kissed tons of girls by now, but fame or having a girlfriend had never been one of the reasons Austin had become a singer. "I liked...kissing you." He hoped that didn't sound too strange.
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird A light blush crept onto her cheeks as she answered, “You know what? I did too.”
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He smiled, his cheeks turning pink. He sat down on a bench, gazing out at the waterfall, hoping she would maybe sit next to him.
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird Valerian sat beside him, close enough so that their knees brushed. "So, what other things do you do? Besides sing and kiss girls you just met?" Her voice was teasing and said that she didn't mind at all.
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He smiled at her second comment. "I don't have that many hobbies," he said, leaning in close to her. "Do you?"
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird She shrugged. “I mostly either write or read. Oh, and I play the piano.”
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic "Ooh, I'd love to hear you play sometime. I can play a lot of instruments, but I've never been particularly great at piano. You know, I do have an open spot for a pianist in my show, if you'd reconsider..." he said, kidding her on the cheek.
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird Valeria grinned a little, her cheeks a light pink again. “Hm, maybe I will. Or... maybe not.”
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He shrugged. "Your choice, I won't tell you to do anything you don't want to do," he smiled. "I really would love to hear you play the piano though."
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird She stared at the lake, memories coming back to her. “I’m not the greatest at it, but I try my best.”
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic "As long as you try your hardest, I'm sure it'll sound great," he said. His eyes widened a bit. "Oh geez, Foxfire's going to explode when they know I've kissed a girl. Do you know how many fangirls I have?"
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird She laughed. “I’ve heard. They would go on a rampage.”
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He grinned. "Definitely. That would be fun to watch."
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird “For you,” she corrcted. “They would kill me!”
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He grinned at the thought. "I would never let that happen, though," he said. "Wait...can I call you Val?"
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird Valeria blinked. That nickname brought back a wave of sadness, but she pushed it away and smiled. “Of course you can! Valeria’s too long anyway.”
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He smiled. "Okay, awesome. You can give me a nickname, too, if you want, but right now I have something to ask you," he said. "So, Val, I was wondering if you were going with anyone to the Foxfire Ball?"
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird “Nope,” she answered with a shake of her head. “I swear, all the boys at Foxfire are nothing if not cowards. They always back away at the last second!”
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic "Yeah, some of them are real jerks, too," he said. "But I won't back out. I was wondering...if you wanted to come with me to the dance?"
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird Valeria grinned. “I’d love to! But if I’m killed by raging fan girls, I’m going to haunt you for the rest of your life.”
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic "I won't let you get killed by fangirls," he said. "Well, I'll prevent it as much as possible." He grinned playfully, putting his arm around your shoulder. "I'm glad you want to go with me, I didn't have anyone to go with. All the girls at Foxfire are...well, not my type, I guess."
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird She nodded her head, leaning into his arm. “I get what you mean. All then boys at Foxfire are either a) egotistical jerks, b) cowards who stutter everytime they’re near me, c) mean and need to get a life or d) just plain stupid.”
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He smiled. "Yeah. Well, at least I'm not any of those at the moment," he said. "By the way, do you have any nicknames you could call me?"
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird Valeria thought about it, then frowned. "No, I can't. Hm, I guess you're name is just not one in which one can think up a nickname for." She gave him a grin. "But I like it, so I'm just going to keep calling you Austin."
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic "Awesome," he said with a grin. "Did you know that you have very nice hair?"
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird "I do?" she asked, tucking a strand of her dark brown hair behind her ear. "Most people tend to compliment my eyes more."
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He looked into her eyes, looking at the amazing shade of blue they were. "Wow, your eyes are beautiful, too," he said. "Gods, I guess you're just so beautiful I can't figure out what to compliment first." he grinned.
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird Her cheeks turned a dark shade of crimson and she looked down, hiding her smile. “Good to know.” She looked back up. “You’re eye’s are really amazing too. I’ve never seen brown eyes before.”
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic His cheeks turned pink. "Uh--um, I--" He stammered, not really knowing what to say. He kissed her instead. "Thanks," he said, finally remembering the word.
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird She gave him a teasing punch. "What, not use to compliments about your eyes?"
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic "Well, yeah, not many people really like the color of my eyes," he said. "Your eyes are much better looking."
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird She scoffed. "Are you kidding? Blue eyes are boring. Literally ever elf has them! Brown are so much more cooler."
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic "Yeah, well, technically speaking, brown eyes are a biological anomoly generally caused by a rare genetic deformity," he said. "I read a book about it." He glanced at her skeptic look. "Yes, I do read sometimes."
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird She gave him a blank look. "I didn't understand any of that, but I'll pretend I did."
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic "Yeah, it's complicated, I'll teach you another day," he said with a grin. "So, what are you doing for the rest of today? You could always come over to my house if you don't have any plans..."
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird She playfully shoved him. "Not today, Romeo. I have to help my parents with something." She wrinkled her nose at that.
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He grinned. "Alright then, Juliet, when would you be free?"
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird "Tomorrow," she answered, the fanned herself. "As much as I am intrigued by this human named Shakespeare, I really want to kill him after hearing the end of his tragic stories. Especially Romeo and Juliet."
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He nodded. "Yeah, I don't like that guy," he grinned. "Okay, tomorrow it is. Where do you want to meet? I have to sign an endorsement deal in the morning, so I'd be free in the afternoon."
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird She nodded. "Afternoon works." She then snapped. "I got it! Your nickname from now on is Romeo! That way, I have something to call you and remember my revenge plan on Shakespeare."
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic "I love it, Val. It's a wonderful nickname," Austin said. "As long as you're not implying that I'll end up like Romeo."
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird "Don't worry, you won't," she assured him, then reconsidered her answer. "But, well, I guess you never know. Romeo certainly didn't think that would be his fate, did he?"
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic He smiled. "I guess I'll take my chances," he said, kissing her on the cheek swiftly. "I think I have to go now. One of my friends invited me to a pool party."
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird She pouted but nodded. “Aw, okay, I’ll see you tomorrow?”
Austin Di Angelo
⮚⮚⮚ Popstar Singing Sensation 🎸 Pyrokinetic "I wouldn't miss it for anything," he promised her, standing after giving her a last kiss. "See you tomorrow, Val!"
Valeria Kordan
➵ Musician • The Social Bird She waved. "Bye!"
