You are receiving this message because you have signed up for writing a chapter for Innocent! According to the new chapter list, I am pleased to inform that you will be writing the eleventh chapter in the sequence! First, I didn't see any policies about categories. Sooo what are you comfortable with, I guess? Say, if I wanted to make a new fanfiction subcategory because a fanfiction I posted didn't fall into one, could I do that? And if I did that, could I make a page for it, insert it under the Fanfiction hub, etc.? And are personal categories allowed because I've noticed a few? Anyway, that's a lot of questions all at once, but hopefully you can make sense out of them!
Second, I thought of something that might help increase activity. I saw that y'all have a forum for competitions and that you're interested in doing competitions for fanart, fanfiction, etc. I think doing some of those would be useful, even though it would be temporary. It may also help draw new users, if you allow users to advertise the competition itself and not their own things (or just allow users to advertise that aren't participating). Honestly, I'd suggest utilizing the excitement that comes from ship-related things and running competitions for "Best Sokeefe Fanfiction", etc. It would encourage reading, voting, and writing/drawing.
Annnd you have my permission to use the mentoring idea, preferably with credit to the LCK wiki, to help increase activity as well if you're interested. Mentoring would be to help navigate rolepalying and the like because i would guess you lose some participants from the overwhelming amount of locations and policies and the like.
I haven't given up on this wiki yet, and you shouldn't either! :) But I think at this point, your best bet is utilizing reader-related things. A wiki that heavily relies on contributors is honestly doomed to fail because over 99% of FANDOM people are readers and not contributors. So I would emphasize the fanfiction and fanart aspects, in your top navigation and main page and the like. You could even change the display name to emphasize fanfiction if you wanted.
Anyway, feel free to disregard the advice as you see fit with no fear of offending me! And I hope to see this wiki rise again!
Hi -- nice to meet you! Hope you have a great time here -- if you ever need any help with anything feel free to ask me or one of the other admins :)
Thanks so much!! I love yours too, it's always cool seeing other books people recommend :) I actually haven't read a lot of the books on your list, except for Harry Potter and PJO (and KOTLC, obviously, lol). Which ones would be your highest recommendations? I'm reading the Lunar Chronicles right now and I absolutely LOVE it, but I'd love to have a recommendation for something to read after I finish it :)
i'm sorry for bombarding you with messages. I saw that you like A wrinkle in time. That was a great book! I had to do an oral book report on that book. What do you think of the new movie remake? have you seen it? In my opinion, the book is beter than the movies.
No worries!! I generally read fantasy and sci-fi the most often, although honestly I love all genres lol. And the Lunar Chronicles is amazing, I think you'd really like it :)
Oh it's fine lol -- yesss I loved A Wrinkle In Time!! And that's really cool -- I just read it in my free time, but reading it for a project would've also been a lot of fun :) I liked the movie, but I'd agree that the book was still better. Unfortunately, I feel like that's the case with a lot of movie remakes, except for maybe Lord of the Rings -- in my opinion, both the movies and the books were absolutely amazing. What's your favorite movie or movie series? :)
