Mayura's parents didn't come from a very great background; neither were they in the nobility. In fact, both were talentless, and had been sent to Exillium for faking an ability. His father's name is Jaya Spalding and his mother's name is Ushindi Spalding. The surname "Spalding" came from Mayura's mother rather than his father, for Ushindi had done less to tarnish her reputation than Jaya.
His parents being talentless and a bad match, having multiple births at once was inevitable - Mayura has a twin sister, who's name is Mayuri. They also have a younger brother named Yash. The three siblings were often cornered and bullied, with none having abilities to defend themselves with. Mayuri is often the one who stands up.
Ever since Mayuri manifested as a Technopath and not Mayura, he has always been rather off-put and down. He started being compared to Mayuri more and more, and thus he was more scorned. His parents even faked that he was one year younger to Mayuri so that he could be put into a lower level class to increase the likelihood of manifesting an ability.
He is currently 16 (often faked as 15).
He is surprisingly very good at mimicking, and could pass off as a legitimate polyglot for it. However, he prefers not to lie about his abilities like his parents did so as not to cause more conflict. Like his sister, he is not very good at containing his emotions, and thus is prone to detention. His sister is a little more controlled, though.
