Mental energy is power from your mind. It is used for various reasons, like telekinesis and such. Mental energy is supposedly easier for telepaths. Mental energy is hard to use without much practice.

Mental Energy is a source of power that is extremely hard to use. When someone does use it, it is told that it is supposed to be a less draining way to use telekinesis. Mental Energy is also needed to succeed in doing a brain push. It also takes a long time to store the energy, Sophie Foster being the only exception, and many more years to practice. Core energy is the most common type of energy used for non-ability skills. It is the only source of power that elves who are not ancient can use. Foot energy is used to achieve Full Body Momentum, to boost their telekinesis. This skill is often overlooked because many elves tend to focus on their hands.
