Noria Caverly➳ Councillor ✧ Strict Dictator ― "Justice delayed is justice denied." Hail Me ✧ 06:24, February 18, 2019 (UTC)
Noria sits on the interviewer's chair, waiting patiently for the interviewee as she checks over the forms handed to her about the maybe new mentor that would be arriving at Foxfire. About five minutes are left until the interview is to begin.
Renette Kim➳ Elvin History Mentor ✧ Descryer ― "One needs to be tough to survive. If you aren't, then you will end up wallowing in your own self. Forever. I learnt it the hard way." Hail Me
Renette decided to go a little bit early for the interview to start off on a good note. After all, she hadn't exactly been the student with the best grades during her years at Foxfire, so it was best not to take any chances. As soon as she entered the room, she saw her interviewer, and greeted her with a brief, "Hello Councillor Caverly," and a small curtsy to show her appreciation for her time. It was best to always be polite to a councillor; you never knew what they were really like.
Noria Caverly➳ Councillor ✧ Strict Dictator ― "Justice delayed is justice denied." Hail Me ✧ 07:12, February 18, 2019 (UTC)
Noria gives the newcomer a nod and gestures to the interviewee chair. "Lady Kim. Please, take a seat." She then looks over the files handed to her, then back at Renette. "And exactly which class are you most interested in mentoring?"
Renette Kim➳ Elvin History Mentor ✧ Descryer ― "One needs to be tough to survive. If you aren't, then you will end up wallowing in your own self. Forever. I learnt it the hard way." Hail Me
Renette gracefully took her seat and then answered the question at hand with her best shot: "I'd be most interested in mentoring a special ability focus session for either a polyglot or a descryer. Elvin history would also be more of my cup of tea."
Renette Kim➳ Elvin History Mentor ✧ Descryer ― "One needs to be tough to survive. If you aren't, then you will end up wallowing in your own self. Forever. I learnt it the hard way." Hail Me
She knew she'd probably flunked her first question, but didn't flinch. "I would like to teach a special ability session for Descrying," she said, tersely. It was obvious this councillor had no time for dilly-dallying.
Noria Caverly➳ Councillor ✧ Strict Dictator ― "Justice delayed is justice denied." Hail Me ✧ 21:41, February 18, 2019 (UTC)
She takes a mental note of that as she continues, asking, "What might you think would be your strongest suit when teaching prodigies? Your ability to explain, form a bond with your students, or any such sort?"
Renette Kim➳ Elvin History Mentor ✧ Descryer ― "One needs to be tough to survive. If you aren't, then you will end up wallowing in your own self. Forever. I learnt it the hard way." Hail Me
"When it comes to mentoring, I think that my strong suit would be more of connecting with the student. Take the example of a Descrying special ability session. I'd be able to show the student what it really means to be a Descryer, and how they'd need to take good responsibility and care of their talent."
Noria Caverly➳ Councillor ✧ Strict Dictator ― "Justice delayed is justice denied." Hail Me ✧ 21:50, February 18, 2019 (UTC)
Being a strong Empath, Noria is able to tell when someone truly means what they say, and so far Renette is proving to be able to do just that. Jotting that down, she continues, "What would you say would be your weakness when mentoring students?"
Renette Kim➳ Elvin History Mentor ✧ Descryer ― "One needs to be tough to survive. If you aren't, then you will end up wallowing in your own self. Forever. I learnt it the hard way." Hail Me
"While earlier I said that my strength was connecting with the student, it could very well be one of my weaknesses too. I, as a person, tend to get attached to certain things or people in life, and that may make it hard for me to see certain things that I would have otherwise seen, an example being misbehavior."
Noria Caverly➳ Councillor ✧ Strict Dictator ― "Justice delayed is justice denied." Hail Me ✧ 22:12, February 18, 2019 (UTC)
"Interesting," is her answer to that. "Now, let's say one of your students was failing terribly, and you catch them cheating for their exams. What would be your first reaction?"
Renette Kim➳ Elvin History Mentor ✧ Descryer ― "One needs to be tough to survive. If you aren't, then you will end up wallowing in your own self. Forever. I learnt it the hard way." Hail Me
"Believe it or not, I'd first ask them why they were doing such a thing in the first place. Whatever they answer, they'd end up being in the principal's office, but if something or someone is pressuring them to act in such a way, I'd go and see someone who may be able to help [such as the principal]. If they were just plain misbehaving then they'd get whatever punishment the principal decides."
Noria Caverly➳ Councillor ✧ Strict Dictator ― "Justice delayed is justice denied." Hail Me ✧ 22:22, February 18, 2019 (UTC)
Surprisingly, she's a bit pleased with her answer. Having gotten all she needed, Noria gets up and gives Renette one more nod. "That will be all today, Lady Kim. Thank you for your time. Your results will be mailed to you shortly."
Renette Kim➳ Elvin History Mentor ✧ Descryer ― "One needs to be tough to survive. If you aren't, then you will end up wallowing in your own self. Forever. I learnt it the hard way." Hail Me
"Actually, Councillor Caverly, in addition to thanking you, I'd like to say something else, if you don't mind waiting."
Renette Kim➳ Elvin History Mentor ✧ Descryer ― "One needs to be tough to survive. If you aren't, then you will end up wallowing in your own self. Forever. I learnt it the hard way." Hail Me
"I have a some ideas that I'd like to share in regards to making Foxfire a better place to be for incoming and outgoing students. I wanted to say them now so that even if I am not accepted, it can still be implemented. The first idea would be for Foxfire to have a yearbook made by the students themselves. It would create a great atmosphere for all attendees and would make their time at school more memorable. After all, life isn't all about studying; it's also about the relationships and the connections you make."
Noria Caverly➳ Councillor ✧ Strict Dictator ― "Justice delayed is justice denied." Hail Me ✧ 02:31, February 19, 2019 (UTC)
"Those are some interesting suggestions you have, Lady Kim," Noria answers calmly, tilting her head in thought. "Any others you may have, or can I adjourn this interview now?"
Renette Kim➳ Elvin History Mentor ✧ Descryer ― "One needs to be tough to survive. If you aren't, then you will end up wallowing in your own self. Forever. I learnt it the hard way." Hail Me
"My other ideas aren't developed just yet, so no. Thank you for your time," she said. She sincerely hoped that she had made the right decision by sharing her yearbook idea with Councillor Caverly. She hoped that the Council wouldn't simply copy her idea if she wasn't admitted into the mentorship program at Foxfire. It had happened before, and hopefully it wouldn't happen again.
