Empathy is my favorite ability, because it allows for a wider reach of emotions, and it lets you connect with others easily. Empaths, who are the manifesters of this ability, can sense others' emotions via physical contact, while some can even do so without touching another elf. With humans, this is easy to do. Empaths can also be in a numb state. This means that while they can easily sense other people's emotions, they cannot sense their own; they feel what others around them feel.
