Nagisa appeared on her first day at work for the new term at Exillium. She knew that this week's topic was all about breath control, and therefore, they were at a lake. Her plan was to first introduce the concept of breath control, then see how well they could do. She then used her loud, teacher-like voice to say, "Hello, Waywards. As you may or may not know, the skill for this week is breath control. First, we will be going over the basic techniques of breath control. Then, we will progress to doing it underwater in the lake to the right of us. Sound good?"

Livia was glad that Hania had gone first. She hated going first. If others went before her she could 1. see how things would work so its not as awkward when it was her turn and 2. so she knew roughly how bad she ranked before it was her turn. She would have to remember to thank the other girl later. She stepped up to the water put her head under and counted the seconds. She was glad that the water was warm and there was little fishes swimming around that helped her pass the time easier. She counted to 20 seconds before her burning lungs forced her to come up for air. She looked to Ms. Nagisa expectantly to see how she had done

"Yeah sure," Livia said not too thrilled to try again. She went over and walked into the water not liking the jumping in at once approach. She stuck her head in and just floated on her stomach she sat there for 3 minutes before she had to come up for air. "How was that?" Livia asked looking expectantly at the Coach.

"I am glad to have good students this year. Now, that was just the benchmark. The real goal for you guys is about 20 minutes or so. And that does not come as quickly. For that, you really need to practice everyday. Most Exillium students reach this goal only by the time they leave."
