1) Describe your character's backstory. Who are their parents? Did they grow up with Nobility, or were they of lower class? The character's backstory must be at least 2 paragraphs long.

Leana had grown up in the Nobility. Her family was happy and supportive, and she lived with her mother, Molira, and her twin sister, Penelope. Her father had died in a tragic light leaping accident when she was about 7, and from that point on, she decided to only light-leap when it was absolutely, completely necessary.

As Leana grew up, she had dozens of friends. However, after she manifested as a Shade (which had secretly been her favorite ability, but she didn't dare to tell anyone that), her friends began to be mistrustful of her, and eventually only her best friends, Karina and Elamia, remained her friends, and she began growing slightly more quiet than her happy, talkative, younger self.

Despite her social concerns, Leana's grades soared in every subject -- except P.E. She didn't really understand why it was taught at schools, because after all, weren't people at school to learn, not to excersise?

The subject she was most interested in, however, was her ability class. As mentioned before, she thought being a Shade was the coolest ability ever, and so that was the class she focused the most on and did the best in.

She started seriously considering becoming a Mentor much later, when she was in her Elite Levels. Of course, she had played with the idea when she was younger, but she wasn't sure it would be possible, considering all the prejudices surrounding Shades. When she was 38, she finally decided to take a chance and fill out an application.

2) What is your character's personality like? Are they respectable, or rude? The character's personality must be a paragraph long.

Kind to most people, but others describe her as slightly supercilious. Being a Shade, she always takes a shadowvapor reading of someone before talking to them, and treats people differently based on how much shadowvapor she senses in them. She can sometimes be described as mysterious and slightly rude to people who have large quantities of it, but others who don't have as much say she's super nice.

3) What does your character look like? Do you have a model in mind for them? (if you do, you only need to say who it is)

Long brown hair, light-ish blue eyes, pale skin. She likes to wear red clothes.

4) Describe your character's skill set. What they are good at? What do they want to be good at? What are they not good at?

One of the most talented Shades in the Lost Cities, and really good at anything that requires intense mental concentration to achieve, but she has never been *quite* as good at physical sports or listening to history lectures. She secretly has always wanted to be an artist, and is good at painting and drawing.
