My new name was the weirdest name I had ever heard. Not because it sounded funny, but because it wasn’t mine like Amy was, or I hadn’t grown into it like I had with Natalie. Being Artimis Tadanoningen is the weirdest thing that ever happened to me. This school, however, was the best one yet, I had made many friends. This house was also nice, but I really miss my childhood home. Sophie visits often. She was supposed to visit tonight!
So I skipped home happily! I got to see my sister for the first time in a long time. We planned to meet in my bedroom, while my parents were gone on a date. I was excited hoping Sophie didn’t decide to blow me off again. But sometimes in life, you have to get disappointed.
Sophie didn’t show up. Instead, she had this guy I had only seen once maybe twice before. Dex was his name. I liked him a lot better than Keefe and Fitz if I was being completely honest. Seeing him in my room without Sophie was still super disappointing.
“Hi, Amy,” Dex said, “Well Sophie says she’s sorry she can’t visit, she was fighting the Neverseen. They sent me because besides the gadgets they think I’d be worthless in a fight.“ Dex said.
“Can’t they use all the help they can get?” I ask inquisitively.
“Yeah, they just don’t take it,” Dex admitted, “Well I’m going to go now. Here take this.” Dex shoved a box into my arm and light leaped away before I could say anything.
I opened the box, inside was a pale yellow crystal, a bunch if fancy necklaces and a note.

My heart raced in my ears. I knew eminently what I'd do. No way I'd just sit here if I had the opportunity to save the world. I count, five nexus's. One for me, four for my friends. Who would I pick though? I had more than four friends. And how would I tell them about elves without sounding crazy?
I finally settled on Adira, Tri, Mintie, and Ebony. My plan was to invite them to a secluded area, give them the bracelets, and use the crystal to light leap and see what happens from there. So school passed by in a flash, with my stomick sinking with each class that went by. I got the girls to agree to go to this one hill after classes. While in every class I was thinking about how this might be the last time in a long time I was at school, none of my friends were concerned at all.
In no time I was at the hill with my friends, with the box right next to me.
"Hi, Missy!" Tri said to me. "Why did you want us here?"
Not like I want you guys to save the world from mystical creatures or anything.
"What is this?" Mintie asked pulling out the note from the box. No, she can't read that note! She'll be weirded out and there is no way Mintie will go with me then! "Only gibberish? Why'd you keep this thing, Missy?"
I blush. "Well, nevermind that. I wanted to give you guys these bracelets for being such good friends!"
"You could have at least given me the pink one," Mintie said holding out her orange one.
"I'll trade!" Adira said, and she gave her nexus to Mintie.
"Can you guys put them on? I wanna see how they look on you guys!" I lie, now I have to get them to light leap!
"Is that all you wanted to tell us Artimis?" Ebony asked.
"No I heard about aaaaaa MENTAL EXERCISE! And I wanted to share it with you guys. Someone holds up a crystal and then everyone imagens that you are being transported by the crystal. Let's try it!"
I was the last one to leap away. When I open my eyes and look around at our new surroundings I just pocket the crystal. My friends were staring at me as if I just had them unknowingly teleport to an unknown area with no warning.
"Artimis Tadanoningen, where are we, and are you even who say you are?" Tri asked
"Well guys sorry for not telling you before, but like I shouldn't even be telling you now, but that would make it harder to save the world."
Mintie looked up at me confused, "We're saving the world?"
"Hopefully. Well, I'll start at the beginning, elves exist. They aren't like the stories though. They look like humans-"
"Missy, are you an elf?" Tri asked.
"No. Just listen. Although they look like humans, they have blue eyes, and they look much better than humans." I glance at Minte for a second. She was really pretty with her long golden blonde hair. and oval face. Not to mention her blue eyes. Could it be that Mintie is an elf?
"They keep themselves a secret from us and just let us do our thing while they watch us from a distance. One group of elves who call themselves the Neverseen hates humans and just wants rid of us.
"The Neverseen's enemies are called The Black Swan. They made an elf more powerful than any other to stop the Neverseen. They sent her to be raised among humans. They named her Sophie Foster, while the elves called her project moonlark. She was raised along there right beside her little sister, Amy Foster.
"The Neverseen grew more and more powerful. Sophie is having a hard time defeating the villains. One of her friends asked me to gather a group. He believes that the only thing that can defeat the Neverseen are human beings like you and me. You might be asking yourself why this friend asked me to gather a group. Well, then there is one thing you should know about me.
"My name is not Artimis Tadanoningen, it's Amy Rose Foster."
"So you were lying to us?" Adira asked.
"Well I had to, it's dangerous to tell you guys since the Neverseen wants to kidnap me, so they can make Sophie do what they want."
"How do we know you're telling the truth?" Ebony asked.
"Well, we teleported here using a crystal. I think there is some disbelief that can be forgotten." I said.
Tri looked at me, "I think Missy is right, but Missy, where are we?"
I shrug. I hadn't thought of where we'd end up, or how that would help us.
I turn around swiftly, and I see a boy. Dex.
